Do I need a Real Estate Agent to purchase a Gracepoint Home?

It is a personal choice whether to use a Realtor® or not. We work with real estate agents on many of the homes we build. We welcome their participation in the process.

If you choose to buy without a real estate agent, your Gracepoint Homes’ Community Sales Manager is able to walk you through each step of the process. They will gladly answer any questions and make you feel comfortable when purchasing your home.

How long does it take to build a Gracepoint Home?

There are many tasks that must be completed before the actual construction begins. Your Gracepoint Homes Community Sales Manager is aware of such things as permitting, the availability of a lot for your specific floor plan, lot preparation that will be needed before start, and many other issues that could delay start of construction. Also, you will need time to make decisions about your preferred colors, materials and any customization needed. Ask for more information.

What is a change order?

Before we begin building your home, we will make a detailed list of what is included in the home. We are very specific about the feature, grade of quality, color and pricing of each item. It is important to carefully consider if this list reflects what you want.

Do I need to hire an interior designer?

The professionals at Gracepoint Homes will show you options based on your preferences. We have already pre-selected products and finishes that will seamlessly blend with the architecture of your home design. We are confident you will find ample advice and selection with our design and sales professionals.

Can I customize a Gracepoint Home to fit my taste?

We want your home to be a reflection of your dreams, personality and lifestyle needs. Our staff will work with you to determine what customized features are needed.

How much money will I need at closing?

Your mortgage loan officer can give you a pretty accurate estimate of your required down payment, closing cost and prepaid items like taxes and insurance. These costs will typically run between 3-8% of the total sales price of the home, largely dependent on the amount of your down payment.

How do I finance my Gracepoint Home?

We have made special arrangements with a mortgage company with specialized knowledge of the home building process. Ask your Gracepoint Homes Sales Manager for contact information for the lender assigned to their specific community. For your convenience, we have compiled a checklist of items you will need for your mortgage.
